On the M/V DANIEL A, the HT-LT and seawater pumps are monitored using thermal cameras, separately for the engine casing and pump-side bearings, and at specified levels.

This allows the thermal camera to monitor any temperature differences resulting from friction or malfunction, and integrates them with the ship's general alarm system.
